The front springs on my '85 DD are pretty shot. What brand of stock height springs would you guys recommend for a daily driver? Thanks. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Probably the best setup is the OME 2" lift springs/shocks. While they are a lift spring, you can hardly tell there is any lift. This '85 has the OME kit and 31s:

I have the OME leaf springs both front and rear on my 85 pickup.

Pros:
- Completely bolt in. No welding or changing of spring mounts required.
- Safe to use with the stock push-pull steering and torque rod.
- Much improved ride over stock.

Cons:
- Rear is way too stiff in my truck and is still 4-5" lifted over stock, even after a year of settling.
- Fairly expensive.

For a daily driver, the front OME springs are great. The rear just seems too stiff overall. It does ride great with about 900lbs of wood in it.

I am probably going to take the next step and go longer springs in the rear for better ride and flex.

A picture of my truck with the OME spings on for about a year:
