Need a Spot

Just had code pulled at autozone. Is the fuel level sensor in the tank of the 3.2 V6 '01 Rodeo?? Tell me it ain't ... I don't want to have to drop the tank!! Has anyone done had to do this? From looking at the Haynes manual, it don't seem to be necessary to drop tank.Thanks for the <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />
advise.
