My 99's heater blower is starting to make weird noises and chirps while its on. How hard of a job is it to change out? A simple enough job for simple mech (me) I hope!
Any instructions or Tips will be very helpful....Thanks

Whut? Can't figure that out? 3-4 boltscrews (depending on year I'm finding out), make the rear one easier by pulling off the air tube, unplug. Poke your nose under there and you'll see the end of the motor.

Removing the '99 heater blower motor should be a piece of cake as shown below.. The motor/blower assembly is at the lowest part of the heater hanging down and visible from the passenger side footwell. ![[Linked Image]](http://personalpages.bellsouth.net/d/a/dandeman/photos/4runner_heater_blower.jpg)

Thanks Bob! That seems Simple...
Mine is a chirping, squealing sound and it goes up and down with fan speed. I think my bearings or something are gone and probably need a new unit? Maybe WD-40 it somewhere, have to wait and see what it looks like once I have it out.
