Got a few questions regarding my clutch.
I have an 82 4x4 with 5-speed. I was driving home and the clutch pedal got softer than normal and the clutch would not release. I had to rev match to shift all the way home. I removed the clutch master cylinder and pulled it apart and cleaned it I also did the same to the Slave. I bled the system and it appears to be working correctly.
First question is how far out does the slave push the rod? I am not sure if it is pushing the lever to the throwout bearing enough.
I have the Transmission ready to be removed but I hate to take it out if there is some easy thing that could be wrong.
The Clutch only has maybe 20,000 mile on it so I don't think that is would have failed yet.
Thanks,
Troy
