How's May 7th sound? Or May 28th? The fun of May 7th is that a Hummer club will be there and they'll need a recovery crew...
I'm thinking that a May run would be good. I know the Isuzu guys do well at getting a solid group to go. I'd like to see a good Yota concentrated event... with anyone else welcome of course!
Any takers?
Of course, April is good to if we want to go sooner. If we decide a date we can move this to the Trail Ride planning section.

I should be good to go anytime. Sounds like a blast!

I wouldn't want to show the hummers up too much, maybe I'll throw a set of bald tires on to make things even...

Hey Joel I see you live in Indy, I'm on the north side of Carmel. If you know of any areas around here to get muddy please let me know.

TacoYota,

Actually, I live outside of Indy now... in Whitestown. It is just NW of Zionsville. Kind of between Zionsville and Lebanon.

I do know of a place there in Carmel between Keystone and Meridian. It is just off of 465 (you can see it from up on the highway). Best I can tell the local high schoolers use it for bonfires, mischief, and amateur muddin'. I say "amateur" because I've pulled an H2 out of there before. Driving by on the highway I saw him and pull off and got directions to get back there.

Truth be told I wasn't impressed with the area because the locals have all sorts of lumber in the mud pits from previous recovery attempts. 2x4's, sheets of OSB, 4x4's, etc. Some I saw with nails in them. Ick!

Other than that, I think Attica is the best, safest, most legal place around.

Not sure I would take my ext cab truck out there without some good rocker protection. A lot of fun but even the green trail can get very tight in places.

Joel, funny you mention that place. I used to live across 96th street from it (in Benchmark apts). I was there just before they put the Monon in (1996-ish), and I used to go back there on my mountain bike... In one summer I lost 45lbs! Then I quit smoking and gained it and more back... (quitters never win!)

It's illegal now to go back there, from the last I heard. Too many complaints from the locals that live near it, and there is a new apartment complex at the entrance. The last time I went down Monon they even had 5 foot fences blocking all ways in, not that it stopped me on my bike!

I helped a guy out of a mud pit one time. Then to my surprise, one summer later, he got stuck again. I have no idea who he was, I just happened to be back there both times. Serves him right for driving a jeep.

I've been to Badlands once. You don't need a rollcage and there's plenty of places for a stock truck to play. I'll be there the weekend of June 4th if anyone wants to join.
