Getting the Wheeling Fever
Badlands is an off-road park in Attica, Indiana. My friends and I are thinking about planning a weekend camping trip there this summer and are looking for anyone that may be able to tell us about the place. We've seen the website and it looks great, but we wanted some outside input.

Thanks!

It was fun. I was there in 2002.
Alot of hills sand and stuff make sure you have some protection against trees. Rocker sliders and front bumper recommended. A stock vehicle can do pretty well in the sand play areas.
The other areas you night have some issues without larger tires and a locker.
here's my old cardomain page : http://www.cardomain.com/id/shadowman2k
page 5 and 6 have some pics when I went offroading there with my pathfinder. I didn't do the harder trails but I probably could have if I had a extra day to play there.

I am running stock, although I do have a brush guard and step bars. Not sure if playing in sand would be enough fun to last a weekend, I like turning my red truck brown...

I also read on the website that I'm required to have roll-bar protection? That's an expensive item just to spend a weekend there...

Have you been anywhere else in Indiana with some good trails that my truck (see my sig) can navigate?

It shouldn't stop you from running the green trails there. I dunno maybe rules have changed. I thought a roll cage was required for thier upper level rockcrawling stuff. Nope sorry only went to badlands offroading. I was down there on vacation visiting relatives.

Oh don't worry, there's plenty of opportunity for that on the green trails. And when I was there, a roll cage wasn't required for green trails. You can view pictures of my visit with some Yotatecher's here.

When I went, one of the guys had a Manik brush guard on the front and had no problems. I personally did damage to my truck because I was horsing around on some rocks in the quarry area that I had no business on.

You and your buddies would have a blast on the green trails... stock wouldn't get you in any trouble at all.

Alright folks, lets plan a trip!

The "Green" trails sound good to me (my baby is only 1 year old), I don't want too much damage... But I'll ride with anyone insane!

At this time I'm available pretty much anytime during the summer.

It would be cool to meet some other 4x4wire'ers!
