I need to remove my inside door panel and can't figure out how to disconnect the door handle to remove the panel. I removed the screw from the bezel but the bezel is still tight and won't budge. Am I missing something here?

Mike behind the door handle is a C clip. What I found the be easiest is use a wash rag or cloth shop towel. Seperate the handle from the plastic round guide behind the handle. slip in the middle of the shop towel <___o___> all the way to the shaft of the door handle. and move it back and forth. it should snag the C clip and pop it out.

Also. along the edge of the DOOR PANEL are push in clips. you will have to get to them with a flat screw driver behind the door panel. Work slow and one and A time. I don't recall how many they are .I am going off of one old door panel that was on my truck. The top part of the door panel is glued to the door. Not sure why you want it off? I trashed the old one and fabbed up some new ones cheap.

Thanks anyway. I got the window crank removed with no problem. It's that door handle that I am having a problem with.

well mike. I hope someone will shime in to help you out. Have you tried pushing up on your door handles or side to side...my chevy is like that. took out the 4 screws and still had to move it forward towards the hinges to pop it out.

It has locking tangs and you have to slide it. Sorry but I cannot remember which way because it has been so long since I had full doors!!!!! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
