Dude, a Wagoneer would rock! (I've got one, too. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />) The '89 should be almost identical to my '88. It will have an AMC 360 engine and a Torque Flite 727 automatic trans. Both nice. Dana 44 axles front and rear, though the front is low pinion.

There's a sweet upgrade some of the IFSJA guys are doing, and that's swaping in a GM TBI to replace the Motorcraft 2150 carb. It's about $900 from Custom EFIs, and supposed to be totally worth it. Smogging, though, might be tough. I did a TFI ignition conversion on mine, but otherwise it's stock.

For lift ideas, and many, many parts, go to BJÆs Off-Road. I think a 4" lift with 33" tires would be ideal.
