Well, I don't expect we'll be doing much work outside tomorrow, what with the Severe Storm Warnings including High Winds and Heavy Rainfall!!!! Hopefully it'll slack off next week as predicted, it sure would be nice to see that warm yellow thing that used to be up in the sky (forgot what it's called !).

Well, we made it thru the night with no trees falling on the house, but no power since midnite when a xfmr blew up. The entire N. end of Kitsap County is without power. Even the new Super Wal Mart is without power, now that's got to be a disaster, eh!! Luckily there's still juice at the folk's place so we won't miss the Superbowl tomorrow.

I expect you still have power in Shelton, as I got e-mail from a fellow Gearhead this morning who lives in the area. Lots of branches though, I bet.

Most importantly, all the Isuzu's survived unscathed!

Wrong answer! Not that many people out of power, but lots of different areas with problems.

I work for the local power company. A few years back, I moved from our engineering department (where I got called out all the time) to our power supply department, where I haven't been called out during an outage for probably ten years.

Got called out over the weekend though, as I'm evidently the only one left with hazmat certification and we had a couple of transformers leak when the poles got knocked over.

So, I got to put out containment booms, absorbants and direct the cleanup...not too bad, but, I'm in an exempt supervisory classification, so I don't get paid OT anymore...
