Here's a thought for ya-
I went by Mike Caskey's place to put a deposit on some parts for my son and oogle a 22RE/3.4 conversion he was doing. As Harry mentioned, Mike's big 3.4 conversion-on-stilts uses a 3.4 mated to an R151. According to Mike, fitment problems are solved by mix-n-match of old and new design clutch parts, works fine lasts long time. Call Mike for info.

Oh, and late this summer Mike hopes to have a complete kit for 22RE to 3.4 conversions. It won't be cheap, but won't be that much more than scrounging parts yourself. One stop shopping. He also has a first-rate source for motors but they are not particularly cheap. For that, I might contact a certain insurance adjuster I know...

Oh, and it DOES look like I would have to relocate my tranny/tcases forward maybe an inch or two. Dangit. It all depends where I want the exhaust crossover to go and how close to the firewall I want the motor to be. I could put on a go-go-Gadget fan extendo unit to get close to the radiator... <img border="0" alt="[Hillbilly]" title="" src="graemlins/notooth.gif" />
