My 2000 Trooper with auto tranny make funny noise when switched to firs gear (L). I donÆt know what it is, but during normal operation it works good without any noises, only when switched to L and decelerating I can hear metallic noise, almost like fast spinning disc hitting a shroud or some kind of guard. Unfortunately, I was unsuccessful with my search, hope someone can help. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

Fluid level is correct and fluid is brand new < 1000 miles.
I don't think it is related to recent fluid change, as I had that problem in the past right after tranny change, but it was fixed by the dealer.

Body Damage is Cool
Ours had a similar noise so it could possibly be a heat sheid on your exhaust?Maybe the lower tones are vibrating a sheild........a hose clamp might fix the problem if that's it.
