Mods feel free to delete this if you deem it to have not enough Isuzu content.

Some of you all know me personally, some from this board, and a lot of the newer guys & gals prolly never heard of me. I've been around since 4x4wire.com was started years ago. I havn't been around lately because a little over a month ago I had a "cerebral hemorage"(SP?) and thought I was a dead man. I couldn't even move, couldn't do anything. I'm getting better each day and I'm walking fine even though I still have a lot of numbness on my entire right side. It's gonna be a long hard road but I think I'll probably be back to my old self again in a few months.

Was gonna go wheeling last weekend so I could practice driving without having to worry about running over something or having some knucklehead pull out in front of me. I got the trailer hooked to my new truck and got the Trooper driven up on the trailer just fine. Tried for two hours to tie the Trooper down with my one good hand and finally threw in the towel and gave up. Guess I'm not quite ready for that yet. Typing with one hand certainly does suck too.

I've been wanting to go to Moab for years but have never made it out there. Once again I would really like to make the trip this year. Just have to wait and see how I am physically and financially after all the freakin' doctor and hospital bills start pouring in. Have a new 24' enclosed trailer and a diesel truck so I'll probably drive that if I do come out.

Well just wanted to say hey and let ya'll know I'm still kickin'. See ya on the trails real soon!!

Congratulations on the hard work leading to your recovery. Just this morning, we lost our former Congresswoman (and friend) to the same thing. Glad to hear you're overcoming the odds. Keep up the determination!

Gosh, Dave. I thought it had been a bit quiet around here. I just could not quite put my finger on it....

Good luck on the recovery.

Michael

Best of luck with the recovery!

I was just down in SW MO about 2weeks ago...you know where Wheatland is?

BTW if you can't get your rig out to Moab, I'm sure somebody from out east could pick you up on the way through Missouri on I-70...Moab is fun either way.

My daughter had an arterio-venous malformation, which ends with a cerebral hemmorage. Most people with bleeding or clotting in the brain (think stroke) are either dead, or greatly handicapped for the rest of their lives.

Conut yourself very lucky, and best wishes on a full recovery.

Yep, one of my good friends was a teacher/coach in Wheatland for a while. It's probably about 100 miles NE of me. I thought about that ride-along thing, but if I didn't have my own junk there to beat on, it just wouldn't be the same.

Thanks for all the kind words and encouragment. I'll be ok. I may never be exactly the same as I was before my brain took a dump ..... so I'll just have to figure out a more efficient way to do some things.
