In the last couple days I noticed at a stop sign, my Rpms were staying at about 1500-2000 rpm for several seconds (like 10 or more) before the idle would drop down to 900-1000 like normal. It is still doing it and its getting on my nerves. Looking at the throttel linkage, there appear to be a couple of little doohickies that have a plunger that extends, following the linkage when the throttle is pressed. When released, these plungers seem to slow the return of the linkage to it mechanical stop. The front plunger doohickie retracts very slowly, so I'm wondering is it is defective. Anyone else have this happen? I need soem help,, Thanks.

Hey AJ. It's called a dashpot and it keeps the throttle from snapping closed too quickly. It's just a bellows that dampens the air passing through it. On the 22RE's theres a filter that can become clogged and cause it to hang. Not sure about the 3.0, but something to check.

Getting the Wheeling Fever
Mine did that when the TPS went bad. Good luck with finding the problem.
