the belt looks fine on all pulleys except the tensioner- it rides right against the front lip of the tensioner

<img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> Top center of the engine? On mine, the tensioner has rounded corners (radiused away from the belt) so there isn't a lip to affect anything.

Be that as it may, stand at the side of the engine compartment and line your eye up with the belt and look to see if any of the pulleys seem out of alignment. If so, you may need some spacers or adjustments to some brackets to get all the pulleys in the same plane.

Good luck!
