172k miles now.
I changed the solenoid in 2005, now, the same code po773 comes on everytime I start the truck. I just clear it with my code reader and everything is perfect. I probably didn't need to change the solenoid, but I wanted to be sure. I asked the stealership tech why the CEL still comes and he said it's a bad ECU. He had a tech with the same truck swap his into my truck and the CEL stayed off. He said go find one in a junk yard that matches. I haven't found a reason to do that yet, because the code reader works fine to get rid of the CEL. Incidently, the CEL still works properly. It picked up a low antifreeze code after I had a tranny cooler installed. I've driven all the way to Loreto, Baja MX and back twice since the solenoid change. NO PROBLEMS. I'm still interested in finding out why and ECU would go bad like this.
