Getting the Wheeling Fever

I have a '90 ram50 3.0. The column shift seems sloppy. I have a hard time engaging into drive and back into park. I need to play around with it to get it to engage. I think the cable from the column to the tranny is loose. Anyway to tighten it up? Thanks.
