I have an '89 trooper and when the blower switch is moved to the off position it still blows air (vent). Other problem I am having is there is no defrost. When I move the slider to defrost, I hear the flap moving but no air blows. I checked underneath the dash and verified that the controls on the driver side of the black box (that control the flap) are moving. I notice that when I put on defrost the flap moves up and then closes shut (vent air). Are these two problems related? Any suggestions? Oh yea, A/C system has a leak so compressor is not working, but i didn't think this would have any effect on the controls and the blower fan still blowing when the switch is off. Any suggestions?
