You mean the Step-Celica? Hell- I dont drive that car and am reluctant to even ride in it. The impact would have surely totalled it. Body, engine and tranaxle would have been FUBAR.... Goes to show the strength of the Gen1 4Runner. After pulling the bumper away from the drivers tire I drove it home 7 miles.
Im learning just how "cheap" some of these aftermarket companies are. New Hood Capa approved for under $85. Add on the $15 packaging fee (its already boxed from manufacturer) then $120 for shipping via FedEx ground. Bumper ends for under $10 each. Shipping is $13.50 (each)via FedEx ground ontop of the $7.50 packaging fee. Combined shipping? Customer service replied with "Causes too much confusion when filling the order". Hmmm...I cant figure out why they would say that considering I shipped a friggin shortblock with extras to Alaska and it cost Margi less than $100!!!

Wow, I expected alot more teasing and stuff from you guys....thanks for making me feel like less of a dumbass this morning! Real Pals!!! LOL I'm sure Pirate Bulleton Board would love your story <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> Sorry to hear about the damage. Seems like most accidents are caused by something unnaturally dumb. I wish I could help you out. JC Whitney has a decent box tube grill for about $100. My brother has his original hood and fenders ('86) from before putting his fiberglass front end on. He lives in Bakersfield, CA which is a ways south from you. They are in pretty good shape if I remember right. I doubt he would want much for them - probably just enough to make shipping worth the trouble. Hope you can fix her up alright!

Darin, If this Certifit location is close to you, check them out. Generally they have really good prices on parts. Todd If you live near a Certifit warehouse you can get fenders cheap; like $35.00 ea, but last time I was there, they didn't sell hoods for second gen trucks. I didn't ask about other parts like the grill. -- Matt

I run the aftermarket stuff on my rock crawler, my last front fender was $28.00. Now this stuff almost fits right and feels a lot flimser then the OEM stuff. There is more then likely an outlet for it near your location. What I did was go to the smaller body shops in my aera and asked them where to get after market body parts cheap. Asking at two B.S. I came up with three places in the Sacramento area. When I go in I tell them I am with XXX Fabraction, we do not have a resale license and I get the stuff even cheaper. I got the complete chrome grill without emblems for $33.00. I had some business cards printed with a fake name and other info in case they ask for it, I have also done the same thing at the NAPA stories without a problem. Saved about $60.00 on a PS pump at NAPA.
