My mistake on the antenna. Was trying to remember what all was stated.
As far as assuming he made threats, no I am not. I am telling you what the officer will put in his report. Whether any threats were made or not that is what they will charge you with. And when it comes down to your word against their's they won't believe you at that point. Yes you can appeal and fight forever, but who has that kind of money?
I was just saying that as the average person you will lose a road rage charge. There seems to be no tolerance or forgiveness no matter what the circumstances are that led up to that point. At the very least you might get down to a disorderly conduct charge. Far better than a felony.

What my gf always suggest is getting a loud speaker (somthing like that) so she can "let them know how big of jackasses they are" (her words) I think that would be the best idea, any law against that? She worries me, she is a skinny little blonde who wont be able to defend herself if some big guy or group approaches her with her road rage. "Ya some people do screw up, it happens, you do it to sometimes" this is what i tell her all the time. but then i do bring up "some people screw up and some people are just straight inconsiderate, make sure you tell the difference"
I am a very easy going guy, i dont just into an argument unless things are really out of hand. So when approaching people about their driving problems , make sure you ask WTF first. What if a little punk looking kid in his isuzu is heading to the hospital because his mom is about to die? (somthing along those lines) now if that was the case, you would sure feel bad. About 3-4 times ive seen speeders pass me, going a rediculas speed, then a few miles down the road they get pulled over. That is always good to see. So karma does catch up somtimes JasonB i do think you approached this using your brain a little, and i think the cop seen that. They take lots of caution because road rage gets out of hand a lot! So you do have to understand why they do what they do.

I'm glad I read this, I can't tell you how many times I've followed someone long enough to cool down and end up too far from where I need to go to keep following.
I can't stand inconsiderate drivers, but it's when my wife and kids are in the truck with me and some idiot about causes a wreck....THAT makes my blood boil.
I'll just need to use the pencil (plate number) and the phone to report future darwin award winners.

Sorry for your troubles. However I just don't see it as being very fair only hearing one side of the story. Not trying to slam anyone hear but it is far to often that we lean way to far to one Side without hearing both. I know it is not likely that we can hear the other side. But if I were you I would just count my lucky stars that the officer let you go.
Later, Daniel

my blood pressure gets elevated reading about this. Although I am not the root of the problem when it occurs, sometime one can't help but find themself in a situation. I will be the first to admit that I respond horribly. I'm a pretty laid back guy, but that stuff burns up my long fuse quick. I commute in my Amigo 4x4 and it seems like in Boston traffic a lot of folks feel that they need to bully to get anywhere. When I drive in My GF's little focus I get bullied a lot worse than I do in the Amigo. I'm convinced its the Swampers hum that makes the difference
My advice is to get an isuzu and do the only sensible thing. Lift it up, lock it up and stay off the road as much as possible
EDIT: Here *77 on the cell phone dials the state police directly. The local news states that # as the one to call to report road rage. I don't know that the State police like it all that much, it being their emergency line. I usually don't call as not to get myself arrested.

when looking for a container to hold drained brake fluid, find a container that is different from the beverage you are currently consuming.

So I was checking the adjustment on my 12" wing, the one I just installed on my Jetta 1.8T and I was thinking how cool it would look if I mounted some more neon on it. I mean, I've already got a bunch of neon on the underbody of my Jetta 1.8T when I added the ground effects kit and the 6" lowering kit. I was wondering if anyone knows of how I can set up the 6 18" subs I've got in the back of the Jetta 1.8T so that the neon pulses to that, then color-shifts the contrasting neon on the wing I'm going to put on the Jetta 1.8T. Oh, and the 4" exhaust and Folgers[tm] muffler I just put on the Jetta 1.8T sounds pretty sweet, too.

I feel your pain, Jason. It sounds like something I would do. Well, I won't now that I've heard your story. Thanks. Pete
