I try to stay back from people in front of me, its more oncoming traffic. I know they are either 8 or 9000K ($450 for me a year ago), and yes he can get dvd players its a car stereo shop. Shoot me a PM if you know the specific model you want.

If you really want real HID you'll need to retrofit Xenon projectors into your headlight housing. The original projectors wouldn't blind anyone on the road + it'll look stock if properly done. My retrofit.

I have real HID's but they dont have the projector lenses. HID is the bulb and balast, not the projector.

That is pretty cool what you did, how much were the parts and do you have pics of the completed lights? Also I like the write up.

Looking great! Not sure if I have all the patience to do this mod. Plus, I don't have a spare vehicle to drive! Does anyone know what happened to Illusion Lighting? They had some nice retrofit kits.

You are absolutely correct, HID is a bulb and a ballast. However, Your original headlight housing were design to be used with Halogen bulb and NOT HID bulb which produce much more candle power(light). If used in regular housing HID light will create glare and light pattern isn't exactly what it should be on cars with HID installed from the factory. Just my opinion.
