It sounds like you clutch is not releasing. The symtoms you describe would be the same if you did not step on the clutch pedal, at least in the lower gears. If you can get some one to press the clutch pedal, get under the Sportage with a flashlight and see if the hydrolic servo is operating properly and inspect what you can, it does not sound like a major problem.



I looked around everything under there and all seems to be intact. The thing with the little boot on it is still riveted where it should be and the boot is not torn. I have noone here to push the clutch pedal for me but everything is intact. I also tried to pry those little black rubber caps off with a screw driver but I stopped because the only way they are comming off is to rip them off. They are half torn already from me trying to get them off. From starting it again today it almost seems like the clutch is getting worse. I really don't think it's the Tranny at all now. It has to be something with the clutch. From looking around the outside it (in my opinion) has to be something internally. Whats the next step?
