So me 'n one of my buddies went up on beech mtn today to play in the rock garden and find some good mud. Well, for those of you who have been there the first mud hole was as deep as I have ever seen it. The water in the hole came up over my hood and the mud was probably about 3/4 of the way up my tires. This was no doubt due to the crazy snow we've had in the past few weeks. Anyways today was warm and we decided to play all day. So as we started to hit the mud the ruts began to get deeper and after about 20 mins of pass after pass we were both havin to get on the gas pretty hard. So, about my fourth time through I was killin it and slammed in the ruts pretty hard thus shaking my passenger headlight completly out, but I was having so much fun that I hit the same hole twice more before my buddy stopped me and told me what had happened. So in fear of finding broken peices of headlight I went back only to find the complete light floating on the top. I had run over the light twice and it did nothing more than get really muddy, no brackets broken or anything, all it took was a good washin and a new bulb and its good as new. I was very pleasntly surprised and that was just the first half hour we were there, wheeled the rest of the day and had a great time........

I had a funny (in retrospect) incident with my old 91 and its corner light.

as some of you may know, the plastic grills on these babies can crack, the mounting tabs bust off, etc over time. I had a corner light that would just fall out when I hit a bump sometimes. usually the wires would keep it attached to the truck.

well one day it there was this nice frozen rain falling. just starting to ice up the roads and stuff like that. I had just swapped my spare on because my front tire (same side as the renegade light) was losing air. that was a fun 10 minutes in the frozen rain on the frozen parking lot fooling with that fun little stock jack.

well i head out and make a turn out onto one of the busier roads here in town. i hit a bump in this turn that causes the light to fall out of its place in the grill, except this time, the wires decided they would finally break. so the light falls to the road.

I ran it over with the tire I had just spent 10 freezing minutes putting on. one of the parts of the corner light punctured this tire. so now I'm in the middle of the road, blocking traffic pickingup the pieces and cursing.

I pull it into a parling lot and spend 30 mins changing that tire back to the one with the leak and pumping it up with my little autozone special compressor. It was still raining/sleeting.

I decided to just go back home after that and wait till the weather was better before I bought a couple new tires and put them on.

haha......... yeah sounds like that wasnt really your day. i bet that light could fall out a million more times and not hit exactly where it would puncture the tire
