For years I've been trying to find a list of wheels from other vehicles that fit a first gen Monty. Then a bit ago I saw this ebay wheel offer that includes a cross reference for a bunch of vehicles that have the same wheel size as the Monty. Check it out, it might be worth archiving: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...p;category=43956&sspagename=WDVW

On the 1983 to 2003 Montero Sport (Cap Interference) line, I used the original caps from my 5.5 wheels on the front.
But I plan on cutting out the centers of two of the new caps in the future on a lathe. Me thinks that will look cooler.
If you wanna have a look, check out my sig line and web page on CarDomain.com.
Cheers! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

hmm- great info here. Any chance that anyone has used Tacoma rims on a Gen 2? I see quite a bit of the stock rims(15x7) for sale on another board, and the aluminum 6 spoke are pretty nice. I'd be curious about the backspacing. TIA

It would make me happier to see some offset numbers, too...

Can you fit a wheel with 3.25" of back spacing and -18mm offset? without rubbing running 33x12.5?

I car rest assure you that at least original Toyota Tundra wheels WONT fit Gen 2 Montero. I have a set sitting in the garage. (Should find some time and put them on Ebay or smthg) Center bore is too small. Therefore I wouldn't rely on that chart much.

a machine shop will fix the center hole problem...my friend has a 2wd mighty max he has lowered and he just put on some 17" GMC Yukon Denali wheels...they needed to be machine out to 3.663inches. I know for the 4wd models the front auto hub is a bit bigger than 3.663 inches, not sure how much though.
