You can try Castrol motor oil (not the synthetic). It has a higher flash point and does not burn as easy.

You could try this <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" />, but if you want to solve the problem, rather than avoid it....replace the valve stem seals!!!
