Thanks guys. I got confirmation that there is indeed a Japanes bellhouse that will fot, but it's still for the pull type clutch so it has the longer input shaft. So looks like I'm gone have to fab a custom bellhouse again.
I was thinking about a replacement engine like a 7M-GTE but for several reasons I decided for the 2JZ. 1. 2JZ engines are more modern and better designed. Plus have lower milage. And better economy. 2. 7M-GE and 7M-GTE engines over here are raced pretty hard so the majority is dead or duying. Plus they are all high milage engines since production of the 7M stopped in '95 I believe. 3. The pricetag is about the same since the 7M series are in high demand. 4. I can swap it for my ARB locker plus new compressor and maybe a small donation. I also just build this guy a 2WD rearaxle with disc brakes and I will mount my(his now) ARB in his supra. I'm curious what will break first. 5. The 2JZ has more torque. 6. After driving turbo yota's for more than a decade I can honestly say that turbo's break things fast. Smooth power is what I want. 7. Swapping is fun.
