Sorry to say Girlee, but what you should do is part out what you have and getcha another that works. You will be waaaay over your head tryng to do what you are thinking.
Not to mention the cost will be more than just buying another one.

Now c'mon Big Jim. You have no idea what her mechanical skills are based on one post. Just because she's new to this board doens't mean newbie to Jeeps or mechanics. I know a couple girls who's rigs put many guys to shame and they've done the work themselves or have been heavily involved in helping.

Looking at the list of mods she has I'd go the same route. Find a stocker that's in decent shape, take the goodies off the wrecked Jeep and sell what's left of both.

Sad to say, haven't heard back from our new poster.

Bummer. I have also known many gals that have far exceeded my abilities when doing mod work or doing sheet metal or welding work. Quite amazed and impressed!

Anyway, I would still want to know what happened to her Jeep in more detail. This could be a really fun vehicle to (off-road) "trick out". Will take plenty of work just the same, but could be an inexpencive super Jeep in the long run.

If you want to part it out. I am looking for a new driver's side windshield hinge! Mine got a little bent when I had the hood down this past weekend.... (always keep that dang joint lubed, even if you don't use it at all or very often....)

Hey sorry it took me so long to get back to your board. There is no way I'm parting out the totaled one. It's in way too good of shape. It was extremly well taken care of. It messed up my frame, dented the tub, and took a fender and wheel. I will post up some pics here in the next day or two. The plan is to find another one, swap the motor, axles, tranny, seats, top, and wheels, and whatever else if its a stocker. If I would find another one (like the one I looked at in Ohio)that is already lifted and doesnt need any work I would drive that one as my DD. Then I'm going to make one hell of a trail rig out of my pride and joy YJ that needs the framed pulled. The only thing I am selling off my YJ is my tires if anyone is intested. Thanks for having some faith in the girls, a lot of people dont. Plus I have been around jeeps a good while. We just went through a total swap on a 90 into a 95 driveline in a cherokee, and building about 3 wranglers in the past 5 years. By the way I'm from PA
