you've got a 44 rear at 60" wms to wms right? why not use it? find a wagoneer front 44(pre '80). that and scout are pretty much your options if you keep the rear. and the scout front isn't much of an option. iirc, you were concerned about keeping it street legal. you will have a hard time covering the tires with truck axles(full width) under there. i guess you could always narrow a chevy 44 front but that's a lot of work.

it should only cost a couple hundred dollars to convert it to 5 on 5.5 with used (junkyard)parts.
