Front axle isn't much help. See below for legend for these line by lines.... All of these except for D are stamped or cast into the steel. Two lines of D are on a tag stamped with the information provided.... Line D2 could indicate that there are 3.07:1 gears, so, is the rear just a heavier case with the same gear set? Never had any problem with the front and rear competing with eachother. The tag on the rear axle, with the "11480" is from the origional rear axle, but doesn't give any help....

There ya go! 3:07 it is then! And whoever made the rear absolutely has the same 3:07 in it too. Now you have good proof of how high that ratio really is.
