OK, the O2 sensor would not move. Period. So, I took it to my friendly neighborhood garage. And they stripped the bolt faces off the thing.
Now comes the fun part. They said it'd be done this PM but... I doubt it. I don't know if an EZ-out will work with it or if it'll require more 'intensive love'.
He pulled my oil filter. Nice, I get to pay for an oil change, too...
I might have them do the water temp sending unit and thermo while I'm there. I think my sender is hoZ'd.

If they break it and it was not broke, then they buy it. Of course if they said they would need more money to pull it whenthey noticed it was stuck then you would have had to agree with that ahead of time. Even with the flats rounded on it, they could get a pipe wrench on it. It'll come out, Just if they break anything else doing it then they can replace that part free. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/shame.gif" alt="" />

That's the best way to do it!
I had to take my manifold off and I had Racer4 put it in a big vice and he used a big pipe wrench to get it out. Once it's out, getting the new one in is easy. I think it's a good idea that you at least replace the gasket that goes from the manifold to the pipe, I also replaced the manifold to head gasket but if it is in good shape, it can be re-used. Good luck!!

Replace the gaskets, there cheap and labor is expensive. Don't use Fel-Pro for the flange gasket, It will not fit.

It's done - I think. New O2 is in. The place finally got it out. They did pull the manifold. LOTS and LOTS of smoke on the way home. I hope to heck it was just the penetrant oil they (I) used on the fitting to get it out.
We'll see.

When I put my manifold back on, it smoked to all hell too. It was just the penetrating fluid burning off, after about 30 minutes it stopped.
What did they charge you for the job? Please don't feel obligated to answer, just curious....
Congrats on getting it off, I know it's a real pain!
