I also know that in this country at least there is only one way to waiver your life. That's to join the military.

IOW - waiver or nay, if you actually DO DIE, you can count on your family being able to drag the company into civil court. Maybe you'd win, maybe not - that really isn't the point. The point is being drug through the mud, paying for the court + lawyers costs or instead paying a settlement just to avoid it all.

yeah the factory welded on it... when it was clean. thats the problem with cancer... once its there, its pretty much there to stay. theyre right about cutting it all out , thats pretty much the only way to eraticate it. i sandblasted and treated mine before we put the sleave on, and it still came back. fyi, watch your heat when it gets welded up... you need alot of heat for good penetration, but to much heat can cause the metal to stress and become brittle. youll get cracks propagating out of the welds if the rust isnt completly removed, or if you use to much heat... in my case the rust was still inside the frame tube where i couldnt get to it. cuting it out wasnt an option... it had eated way to much of the frame, about 2/3's of it in a section about 14"'s long. that poor little truck will turn into a pile of dust in about 1000 years and that sleave will be all that remains...

BTW - I am aware rust happens everywhere, but the vehicle has been removed from the environment it was rusting in. It was down on Padre Island and I guess the prior owner took it to the beach. I've learned you don't need to be in the water - the salty sand is plenty.

do tell... i must of put about 5 cans of rust eater inside the tube. when i got started on it, it was full of flakes, chips, mud, sticks, bees nests, etc., etc.,... took quite awhile to i got to he point where i felt comfortable putting the sleave on. here in slc, they salt the roads like theres no tomorrow. i dont necessarily place all the blame on the salt, i put a majority of the blame on bad steel (contaminates) since it was in only that one area and the rest of the frame looked great.
