the oven cleaner just makes it have this white dust stuff on it that you have to wire brush off if you leave it on too long but it doesnt hurt anything. i used it on my timing chain cover and valve cover, worked good. simple green and purple power also work well. get a good set of brushs also. but i didnt have any carbon buildup on the inside of my intake manifold. i wonder why?
