I've always use TB cleaner with good result.
Start your truck then shoot inside air intake (take off filter). The motor will likely die so you need to give some throttle. spray at least half can of cleaner.

Then stop engine and take off air intake pipe. Spray inside throttle + brush if needed + then try to start motor (may turn more then usualy).

I do mine each 6-8 months
