DRM is right, gears to gears then side gears to carrier. It's best to nickel weld and peen the weld to de-stress it as it cools. Let the weld cool as slowly as possible. Here's a bad pic of one I did. Also it's best to do this with the carrier out of the third. If you leave it in you'll play hell trying to get all the chipped slag out.
