No I'm not locked out, I have spare keys.

There was a recent post on the tech side about a guy who locked himself out of his truck while it was running. It sat for 4 hours at idle.

I was thinking of ways to stop it from running without having access to the cab or hood. Here are my idea's feel to shoot them down. . I'm looking for least amount of damage other than breaking and entering.

1. Stuff 4 pototes in tail pipe ( cause it to stall? )
2. Remove gas cap, cover with platic wrap and rubber band on outside ( fuel lock? )
3. slide under and pinch the fuel line with vise grips
4. Cover car with big platic tarp and sandbad or tape to ground ( make sure your on outside smile
5. add lots of water to fuel ( monty has drain right )
6. Zap it the high tech police car zappers ( saw on TV )

Cut the wires to the fuel pump.

Remove the passenger side fender splash guard and stick a rag in the air intake.

From behind the driver side front wheel, reaching diagonally up towards the top-front of the hood, if you had a bent bit of wire (thick, tough wire - tougher than a coat hanger) you might be able to yank the dizzy wire on a 4-banger. You would definately need a good light and some patience.

Or you could bend a peice of coathanger into a fish hook shape, fish down into the wonderfully uncomplex Gen 1 door, hook the rod the lock is on and pull up. It scares me how easy it is to get in our trucks.

I know about that but wasn't going to mention it.

All regular cars are easy to break into. Walk up with spring loaded punch and pop instant safety glass

Locks only keep the honest out. In LA if the pro's want your car they pull up in a box truck, two gallons of bleach and a hydralic winch inside. 30 seconds later your dragged into the back, lojack, car alarm and steering wheel club is of no use

I wish they would of Jimmied the lock on my door. Instead they broke the back drivers side window 3 times and broke both drivers side handles.

Back on topic : I would just remove my trusty coat hanger I have stashed on the frame rail and open the door.
