Thanks John

I purchased this one and it works fine for most cars and trucks including Ford, Chevy, Saturn, Chrysler etc but it DID NOT work for the sportage - it could not link to the ECU for some reason.

This is exactly why it pays not to go cheap. My Actron OBD-II scan tool cost almost $200 over 2 years ago. And all it does it pull codes, nothing else. But it has worked with every vehicle I tried it on so far....Kia, Saturn, and Nissan. I'm assuming it will work just fine on my Honda but I haven't tried it yet.

The prices have come down. The scan tool I have has been discontinued by Actron but they have other units with the same or more features for less money. Even JC Whitney has Actron scan tools. You know Sun Gauges? That's the same company (Actron). So you know they are respected and dependable.

I've never bought anything on Flea-bay. And I'm not sure I ever will. Too many scams and it's almost impossible for E-bay to police.
