Getting the Wheeling Fever
Hey all, I have yet another blown head gasket and/or cracked head and while searching around on google today I ran into this site.

www.steelseal.com

I was curious if anyone has used this and if it actually worked.

It seems like someone on here may have come across it before since so many troopers have bad heads.

There's a little infomercial on their site. It sounds a little too good to be true. But searching on google I havent found anthing about it at all really except other people like me asking the same question.

Anyone heard of it or know if it actually works?

I haven't heard of that, but I have used a product called KW Block Seal. It worked pretty good, I drove the car at least a year after that.

As I remember, the directions called for the cooling system to be TOTALLY flushed, ran awile with the Block Seal in and then flushed again. I could watch water spraying out of the head gasket, so I was able to watch as it quit.

I imagine Steel Seal might be similar. The KW stuff was aluminum flakes suspended in some fluid. As to if either of them is good for your engine. I couldn't say, too many variables. Like if you have coolant in your oil. I didn't.

Good luck

Thanks for the reply..

Yeah, this stuff is a bit different as it doenst have any flakes or other goop to clog up the engine. Its a clear liquid thats supposed to stay in the cooling system.

I dunno, I'll probably end up just getting another AMC head.
