Getting the Wheeling Fever

I just had to comment.
That is going to be a sweet looking rear bumper. Like mentioned before, my only worry is the ends that stick out too far. A feathering into the body will do it justice and let it flow better.
Just wanted to tell you your rig has been an inspiration for my second 1st gen. Thanks!
BTW, Those tires are stout! Look at the first pic and it looks like your rears are turning even when they are standing still. KEWL.

I modified it alittle bit. I still have to do some work on the bottom, I don't like how it goes to a piont, on the part that wraps around. I added two more angles to get the sides closer to the troop. I think it looks alot better. My only comment is to be careful with the tight clearances as the frame can flex and shift the body sometimes. You don't want to hear godawful squeaking sounds.

oh yeah, i know how that is. when i make it out of steel i'll have all the right clearances. I found that out the hard way with the rock sliders

. I think it looks alot better. After Madcat Agreed much better Having taken damage at Moab Rim on this very spot on the body.....What if you added side protection all the way to the back of the wheel well? Wouldn't need to be real thick about 2 inches wide and 2 - 3 inches tall. Then put your angle there behind the trim piece to deflect you away from the rocks and trees. I do think the plate around the corner adds the right touch and fills that gap nicely. I have dents on both rear corners. Oddly enough I just had all the dents fixed and it painted before I went up there and banged in the rear corners. All long as your in the planning stages you may want to think about that option also. Just a thought, Curtis J

yeah i've been thinking of that. I think i'm going to add some tube that goes from the bumper to just behind the wheel. Almost like two rails that would be able to take some hits. I'm holding off right now because I might want to trim some of the fenders alittle bit. Thanks man!!
