Congratulatons, and Dang, you ARE older than dirt! I checked on that other fella and he's not near as old as I was thinkin'. you've got him beat by a decade at least! I won't comment on your personal problem, (well, not a problem if you don't want sex.) but I will tell you I was born in Ft. Myers, FL In Dec 1956. That's right, 48 years on the face of the Earth! And I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up!

I have decided on 3 options that I am (1)either going to put a Aussie locker in front, and a cheap limited slip in the rear, (2) try to find a junk yard ford8.8 re-build it and put a Aussie in it or(3) buy an ARB for the front and leave the rear open. In either case I will be re-gearing to 4.10s at the same time, so it will be a couple of months before I can afford installation.

If i were you, I would put a locker in the rear before the front. The rear do most of the pushing when going forward.

But the front does a dern fine job of pulling up and over obstacles...True full time front wheel drive would be really nice. I'm not sure which way I'd go if I had to do just one, but I think the front. Just my .02.

i have a rear tire off the ground about as often as a front, if not more. which sucks for me because my xj is open at both ends. i'm not sure which end i would lock if i was buying one locker. i'd probably do the arb front if it was an option. then i'd weld the 35 carrier and see how long it lasts.

by the way christian, i saw some rangers at glendale auto wrecking 623.939.5932 when i was getting my f150 hubs and rotors. you might want to call them and ask about an 8.8. don't call driven. they are f'ing expensive.

I kinda like my selectable locker. Its called an ebrake. Since I have a 99 TJ with the D35 running 33" tires I am reluctant to aquire too much traction in any givin situation.

Sweet.. and I heard they're actuated by cornbread so you know it won't let you down.

This is why I am probably going to go with an ARB in front, and a limited slip in rear. With limited slip in rear a little e-brake trick can help. I am not sure it does much good without at least limited slip though.
