What's the best/recommended size and thickness steel used to make extended shackles? I'm going to make some 1.5" over stock length rear shackles but I need to know what's the best material to use.

Depends how you want to make your shackles. I made some pretty cool ones using 1.5dia 0.95 tubing and 3/16" flat strap. Take a look: ![[Linked Image]](http://www.calpoly.edu/~cjudd/shackle.jpg)
