No way.... they crushed those?
They both had complete engines and transmissions, bouncy seats and good windshields. I was going to get some more stuff. They do seem a bit backwards at that yard. What a wast.

yup, all but the stripped swb. your not the only one that surprised... i think it was stupid to do it. but their clients seem to more interest in lowrider t-birds and alike. and they replaced them with american cars, eventhough that area of the yard is reserved for foreign cars. from what i could understand in my best oh so broken spanish, they keep what sells and send everything else to the crusher. to bad... theyve definitly lost my business. i dont think i need fender feelers for a 92 taurus . btw, have you seen anyother burgandy/maroon/bordeaudx red gen I's? still looking for a few doors .

Hey Grass, there is a yard like that here. It's operated the same way. The lay out is the same, same way of supporting the vehicles, pretty much the same pricing, pay a dollar to get in, etc. I asked the people in UT if they were affiliated with the one here, but they said no. They do have another one in UT though (can't remember where, ask them).

Anyway, the one here rotates the cars through a couple of times a week. I'll bet no one car stays 3 weeks. You gotta grab what you can get when it's available.

never come accros a yard that got rid of stuff so quick... needless to say it caught me of gaurd. still pissed. wanted all those doors. a majority of the yard that ive utilized in the past would stack cars one on top of the other before they got rid of a dam thing. ive definitly learned my lesson... mabey i shouldotta get me a lowrider, then id never run out of parts!

was up at coys last night... theyve been busy. rearranged everything, now all the mitsu's are on the south end of the yard. i counted 10 lwbs ... parts galore. all engines are pulled, and most had really good bodies. there was 2 raiders on the north side of the yard, pretty well gone through but one that was a goldish... still had some goodies on it. if anybody is looking for anything or wants to go up there lemme know, ill probably be going back up there shortly for a crop of doors! btw, i talked to the owner and warned him not to crush them because hes pretty much the only one left in the valley thats got a decent selection of monteros... he seemed veerrrry receptive to the idea of keeping them around. i hope, with my luck he'll send the burgandy ones to the crusher before i have a chance to swoop on those doors .

I am still looking for some Montero body parts. I need:

RHS door (power window style)
RHS fender
LHS fender
lower front fascia

But they all have to be T86 Blue.

Do they have a blanket price on parts, ie all doors are the same price, etc?

I found out about an outlet in Montana where I can drive to, and pick stuff up.... but I'd still have to get the stuff to Montana...

Just did a Mapquest, and SLC is only 900 miles. A GOOD day's drive would get me there.

Ever notice any Toyota Supra's in the yard? My buddy who would come with me for the drive needs a front bumper/lower fascia thingy for his daily driver, and we could share gas/driving time...

I'd have to wait until the first of July to come down though...

there was a blue one there... didnt look really close at it, but at a glance it looked good. when i go back up there ill take a closer look at it for you. its kind of a trek to get up there, but ive got a friend that lives block or 5 away so im sure that i can come up with an excuse to go see him since he is mechanically challenged . lemme see, you need both front fenders and the facia that holds headlight washer, and which door? yours is a lwb right? which pass side door did you need? dont remember if it was power or not, but i think it was. he had really good prices... i was going to get all 5 doors for mine for $200 . didnt even go into the toyota section, but ill take a peek next time for those parts as well. ill write up a grocery list . when i talked with the owner about keeping them, i told him i knew alot of people that would want to get parts off of them since theyre such a rare commodity and its so hard to get parts. he seemed more interested in getting his hands on more of them than to send them to the crusher, after all hes got plenty of gm's he can send to the crusher .
btw, only one bouncy frame left!

Well, don't go to any trouble buddy. As I said, I wouldn't be able to get down there till July (once school closes).

Sorry I wasn't more specific. I'm still not used to having 4doors.

-I need a RHS (passengers) FRONT door (power window version).
-LHS fender
-RHS fender
-front lower fascia.

But they'd have to be T86 blue. Kind of a medium blue. You know the one...
Kinda need a hood too, but it would probably be too much trouble to get it home. We'd be in my buddy's 4runner (his wife's DD).

I would have to bring you some Canadian Beer...
