im off all of xmas week ... wont be much of a vacation, as ill be doing honey dos and donts. a majority of the places i go are off limits for me right now since their snow covered, so i guess your the trail leader. im sure we could work something out for sometime during xmas week... details? my 5yo son has been jonsing to go wheelin', we went to the store the other night and he kept asking to go wheeling so, i pulled into a soon to be subdivision that had a few big dirt piles and other then that was perfectly flat. but it was all covered in about 3/4"'s of snow... drove over a couple of the hills then started flipping mad doughnuts and had the speedo up to about 60ish, his face was all streched out... mainly from ear to ear .

sounds good... i did a little looking around, since ive never been up there and it looks like a good time . what about some of the other locals? once i get my boy involved... the wife will all but have to sign my permission slip . btw motero, what do you think about getting together sometime here in a few days to help me do a little trouble shooting on my idle issue ?

permission slip signed!!! ive also got a buddy comming with in his jeep, hes not an avid wheeler... but his jeep is really nice. been swearing up and down for years that im gonna get him to grow a set if it kills me . his cherokee sport has great clearance, articulation, good all terrain tires... but he does has a open diff, will that be a problem given the recent snow? cant wait... jonsing badly and i need a fix .
edit... motero, i did a search on mapquest for the intersection. just west of lehi and just east of clinton? whats the best exit to take... dont get that far south, unless im heading to vegas . btw, any other of you locals going to be able to make it?

Yea That is the place, if you're heading south on I-15, just take the first Lehi exit. Bring anybody who wants to come. I'll have a couple other vehicles with me. The snow won't be a problem--it won't be deep enough. I'm out of town until after Christmas, so I won't be around to check out your idle problem. But we could look at it that Saturday morning. I have an extra idle speed control motor if you want me to bring it.

ohhhhh yeeaaaahhhhh!!!!! id like to try the isc to see if it works . i tried the spare that i had, and it made no difference... but with my luck, both could very well be bad or on the way out . the others that are coming, are they mitsu owners or do they fall into the "other" catagory? ive talked with a quite a few other friends & family about going... but they mumbled something about sleeping in since its new years eve, yet a couple are still mulling it over. granted i will be parting that night, but i just gotta go play in the muck . i was really hoping that some of the other locals would have chimed in, all in due time i guess. btw, lee n if youve been monitoring this and didnt chime in because your montys still down the offers still out, ill have a empty bOuNcY (this could be subject to change).

Took the Montero up to Powder Mtn. Not a good choice with the LT285s. Trans light came on and I topped off at like 15mph with HIGH rpms. I really need different gears. BADLY. I wanted to give it a shot so I would know if my wife could take it to work since she works at the resort. I would feel better with her in the Montero. But the way it is geared,, NO WAY!
