My hat is off to anyone who worked on these things for a living. Granted I don't have a lot of specialty tools and I'm working in the back yard, but this is rocket science compared to my '71 C10 (250 C.I.)This was my first experience with E.F.I.. The inside of the common chamber is bathed in grit and oil, the o-rings on the injectors are worn out. and whoever torqued the head bolts must have used a 6' cheater bar. I broke a 10MM 3/8 drive and bent a 10MM allen wrench and broke a head bolt that was obviously cracked to begin with. The next phase is to pull the engine and do a complete rebuild. I'm not in the least dismayed however, I feel I've bonded with my 'ZU and have taken (our) relationship to a new level. I'm feeling nearly as intimate with the 'ZU as I am with my '73 Harley (together 20 yrs.) I don't have a printer so if anyone can, e-mail me (73Shovelhead@optonline.net)a vacumn schematic I'd really appreciate it. Thanx, Madman
If I can't fix it, it ain't broke.

I don't know what years this corresponds with, but check this page out. Found it from THIS post from searching; keywords: +vacuum +2.6. Best of luck

Of the two the bottom one strikes a chord, it shows the two lines that attach to the bottom of the throttle body. I made a few sketches of some of the visually obscure hose connections. Thanks for your help. It'll be awhile before I need them so I've got time to accumulate more. This will be a complete front to rear drive train rebuild. I've got a clutch and pressure plate ready to go in as well. Not that it matters but I couldn't figure out how to remove the power steering bracket without removing the entire engine.

Did you check under your hood? I have an '88 with a 2.6 and I replaced all of my vacuum lines myself and I followed the diagram under the hood. It made the most sense to me. Kind of shows in the general area of where the lines go to. Good luck.
