Ive tried to do some searching on this forum and others and havent been able to come up with a good picture of how a 2" body lift is installed. Particularly, in the rear wheel well where there are a body mount bracket on each side. I have a 1989 Montero LWB and found a dead link on 4Crawler(Roger Brown) that I think would explain it all. Please excuse me if there are numerous posts on this because I have done searches. If there are, please link me to them. Thank you.

When my wife gets home from bible study, I will take pictures for you if you send me your email address.
They will be very large photos with lots of detail. I hope you have a broadband connection.

You bet. More than happy to.
I really like my body lift. If the truck hadn't come with it I would never have done it. Now I know.
The only issues I have found is the fact that the bolts need to be tightened every now and then and the gasket for the floor shifter (manual trans/transfer case) needed to be removed and flipped over in order to keep it from tearing or stretching too much.

For fhe mounts in the rear wheel well, you can either get someone to weld an extention, or you could flip them upside down and grind out a notch to fit over the body lift and maybe a little for the bolt. I started doing mine but never finished. I am not telling you it is safe or unsafe to take out, I just dont worry about mine. If you get in that bad of a crash, I dont think they would help that much.

why didnt I think of putting hte bolt in upside down! I just used the handy dandy BFH and beat the living crap out of the bolt to get it into the body. By far the rear is the hardest to get at seeing how you have to remove the lights and go into the body. Then I would place the front mounts second hardest.

I can't believe the LWB is different than the SWB for that long bolt. I was able to put mine in right side up. You just can't drop it straight down in the way the OEM one would go in. You have to go into the big space behind the light, then feed it up first into the smaller space and drop it down into the hole from there. Sort of a zig-zag thing.
