2nd gen trooper 12 bolt is 62" WMS-WMS correct?

my numbers for the 2nd gen show between 61"-63" depending on whether or not you had factory fender flares. this is just what i have collected, no 1st hand knowledge there.

There was some talk of a 64" widetrack FSJ d44--any confirmation of what year/model?

be careful here, you'll open up a can of worms with this discussion....

but i'll tell you what i believe... there is such thing a wide track D44. I've never seen one on a waggy, and don't believe they ever came on them. IIRC, there were only on option of the 2dr FSJ cherokee. They are much rarer than the short track (61.5") D44 found on waggys.

I'm thinking of just getting a full width dodge or chevy d44/10 bolt (easy to find, usually cheap) and shortening it and using a waggy shaft.

doing so would give you waggy length (61.5")... why not just start off with the waggy axle if you're going to shorten it to use its shafts. this wont gain you anything.

That would put me in the 63-64" area.

I'm failing to see how.

What a minute, just had an idea What about a 61.5" waggy d44 with the 8 lug outers? Don't they add about 3" total width? I'd have to figure out a way to convert the rear to 8 lug, tho...

I'm pretty sure they don't give you anything, and if they do, its not 3". I have a set of both hubs at home and can very for you.
