I've got one diagram posted, the one for the 4JB1-T. The resistor in question is boxed in red. Any ideas?

EDIT: Both diagrams now posted on BLOG

THAT IS A SENSING RESISTOR THAT IS USED TO TELL THE CONTROLLER , TO SHUT DOWN IF ONE OR MORE OF THE GLOW PLUGS FAIL , IT SENSES THE VOLTAGE DROP ACROSS THE RESISTOR AND IF THE VOLTAGE GOES UP TO HI, IT WILL SHUT THE PREHEAT GLOW PLUG RELAY OFF, IF YOU USE THE CONTROLLER IT WILL HAVE TO BE THERE OR IT WILL JUST CLICK THE NO ONE RELAY AND THEN SHUT IT OFF, CIRCUIT IS ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THE C223 UCNIT EXEPT FOR THE EXTRA FUSES AND THE HEAT POSITION ON THE IGN SW, WITH OUT THAT EXTRA TERMINAL ON THE IGN SW JUST WIRE IT UP JUST LIKE THE C223 AND IT SHOULD WORK FINE JERRY

Thanks Jerry.

The question now is: where does it go (physically) in the circuit and where can I get one?

Right now, I've got the red and green wires coming from the controller, with clipped ends, that go nowhere. These must go to terminals on the sensing resistor, right?

I've also got the main power wire for the plugs, also clipped, coming from the relays. My guess is that I need a resistor that goes between the main power wire and the glow plug power supply wire, with terminals for the red and green wires.

Does Isuzu sell these resistors any more? Anyone have a spare they'd like to sell?

I THINK I MAY HAVE A USED SETUP , I KNOW I HAVE THE RESISTOR NEW BUT THERE ISA LITTLE BRACKET THAT BOLTS TO THE CYL HEAD , THAT SUPPORTS THE SENSING RES, , ONE END OF THE SENS RES, ACT BOLTS TO THE NO 3 GLOW PLUG CONNECTION AND THE OUTBOARD END IS HELD BY A SMALL BRACKET THAT HAS A BUILT IN INSULATOR ON IT THAT THE MAIN PWR LEAD GOES TO AND THE RED AND GRN WIRES ARE SPOTTED WELDED TO THE SENSER STRIP,, I WILL CHECK TOMORROW AND LET YOU KNOW .JERRY

That would be great, Jerry. Let me know what you find out.

I'm in the process of updating the website, so there will be a few new photos (as long as the sucker doesn't crash - having lots of trouble posting images this weekend). I managed to build the fuel pickup tube today, so I feel like I've made a bit of progress.

I FOUND THE RESISTOR AND THE LITTLE MOUNTING BRACKET THAT GOES TO THE HEAD AND THE MAIN BAT LEAD IS ATTACHED TO IT ALONG WITH THE SENSING RES, WIRES IT IS NEW SEND ME YOUR ADDRESS AND I CAN GET IT IN THE MAIL IN A COUPLE OF DAYS JERRY

HEY ADRIAN YOUR PARTS WILL BE IN THE MAIL TOMORROW MORN,WIRE HARNESS AND THE BRACKET THAT BOLTS TO THE CYL HEAD , THE STEEL BRACKET BOLTS TO THE HEAD AND THE PIECE THAT STICKS OUT IS WHAT THE OUTSIDE END OF THE RESISTOR BOLTS THRU , THRU THE INSULATOR AND THE OTHER END SHOULD GO TO THE NO 3 GLOW PLG , ON THE C223 IT DOESN,T REALLY MATTER WHICH ONE IT HOOKS TO AS THEY ARE ALL IN A PARALLEL CIRCUIT ANYWAY , ON YOUR ENG IT MIGHT BE A LITTLE DIFF CONFIGURATION, BUT THE MAIN BATT LEAD IS HOOKED TO THE OUTBOARD END OF THE SENS, RES, AND SHOULD PLUG RIGHT INTO THE HARNESS AT THE REAR OF THE ENG (BODY SIDE) ONE LARGE BLACK WIRE AND THE OTHER 2 ARE IN A SMALL CONNECTOR.. Apparently, this engine uses many of the same parts as its US industrial counterpart, such as water pump and many gaskets, so the Isuzu industrial dealers should be able to help. Other parts will have to come from overseas. With the reputation it has for reliability (not to mention the simplicity of diesels in general) I don't expect it to be much of a problem.
