me and my buddies went mud bogging today with my 92sr. after we finished i put it back into 2h and i started to drive down the freeway. the lights only show me rear tires as engaging, but for some weird reason, the orange lights for my center differential lock began to light up and flash. this has never happened before, and i am askign to know if the t-case is trying ot lock up or if there is binding with the t-case. the monty drives normally as it would in 2h but this little nuisance is driving me nuts.

I think lighting up and flashing is a warning. You may have gotten water in you T-case somehow??? First thing I'd do is check the fluid.

i forgot to mention that i high pressure washed the engine compartment when i cleaned up after offroading. are there any wiring harnesses that go from the t-case to the dashboard running through the engine bay that i might have gotten wet to cause this news. im not ready to deal with the t-case having water because im in college, and funds are tight to go and by t-case fluid to refill it.
strange thing is i can drive upto a few blocks before blinking, im just hoping that is a sensor connection that is loose
thank you very much

Unless that particular transfer case takes a special fluid, you can use GL-5 and it is cheap. I mean really cheap.

The fact that you drive a few blocks before the light comes on leans me more toward water in it . If it is contaminated with water, the oil will foam when it is stirred up, then settle down after sitting awhile. Best thing is to just get underneath and check it.

Check the solenoid-like things bolted on the right inner fender near the firewall. Water might have gotten in or a hose gone loose.

strangest things have just happened, i left school to go home for a few days and on the whole ride home the lights never turned back on. i guess it might have jsut been a loose signall connection or something in that area. i fiddled with the harness near the t-case by just wiggling them and cleaning them up a bit. to be on the safe side my dads gonna change the fluids when i go out to sea this week

This is a strange thing bcuz i am dealing with almost the same problem for a while
when i start my car to go somwhere and turn it off it is OK nothing wired is happening
BUT when i restart my engine in like a time of 1 hour or less the front lights indicator starts to blink(flash) more wired thing is when i step on the gas to go faster or to accelrate it flashes faster
It is only the front tires indicators that are flashing endlessly
it stops flashin if i leave the car turned off for more than 2 hours in this case it comes back normal
on more thing is the 4WD system works fine: i can engage or disengage the 4wd and even lock the cetral diff in this postion there is no flashing
but when i turn it back to 2H it starts to flash again
I took the car once to be serviced @ the dealer and I asked them about it someguy there told me it is bcuz of the switches (switches) and he told me that they are costy and if the 4WD system is working reguardless to the indicator ho told me to forget about them
Any Idea's Guys
By the way : Here where I live the tempreture is mostly around the 35 degrees celicios, I live in a place very close to the desert so i thought the heat might be the problem
