My Sportage is a 2.0 Liter SOHC. It is misfiring. I did a compression test and found the back two cylinders low & very low ! It doesn't use much oil so I'm wandering if these motors have any common problems ?(blow head gaskets, bad valves??) Maybe it's possible the seals on the injectors could be leaking bad enough to loose compresion ?Anybody have any suggestions?
Thanks, Dondobe

Found my problem !! Someone tried to adjust the valves & adjusted them out of order.(leaving three exhaust valves too tight, which left them open not allowing compression to build !!! It's like a new ride !! Dondobe

Glad you found your problem. I didn't know that the SOHC engine had valve lash adjustments. The DOHC engine doesn't.
