Ok , I dropped my tank and swapped my fuel pump out today.I had the fuel pump from the 89 2.6 along with the gas tank in there , and I thought that might be the cause of my no power going up hills , and not starting right when it was warm.So , I put the 90 pump from the 2.8 in , the pumps are identical looking , and even had the same part numbers on it.Now , for some reason , they say the 2.8 pump new is almost 400 , while the 2.6 pump is 117.I used both on my 2.8 , and there is no difference at all.

So , my conclusion is , if your going to swap out a fuel pump in a 2.8 , save yourself some money , and get the cheaper pump from the 2.6 , it works great with the 2.8 , does exactly the same thing , but for a couple hundred dollars cheaper.

So it seems my loss of power up hills , and the weird start problem have to do with something else , just not sure what that would be yet , still hunting it down.Hopefully while I am doing my swap to the 3.4 I will stumble across the problem and fix it <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
