Getting the Wheeling Fever
|
K, this is weird. I was determined to fix this today or just do something to keep the engine from overheating. Getting into the 80's here. So, I split the fan clutch and add some 90W oil and put it back together. Seemed to help a bit but suddenly it started to get hot again. Turn on heater and rev motor to cool it down again. Shut it off and just for S&G's see if it will take some coolant in the rad. It took about a quarter of a gallon. Seems piddly, but adding just that little bit seems to have solved the problem. Now the condenser fan even works! It was NOT working at all before I topped off the coolant. Strange

Must have gotten an air pocket around the sensor, causing it to not read what it wanted to turn the fan on.
