Sounds like we need to combine columns.... Mine is now stuck on hi beams....

If it were just the arm, that would be one thing, but this is the plastic parts in there as well, I'd bet there was about 1800+ pounds of pressure on the jack when it decided to go flying.

My problem with the junk yards is that none of them have Jeep products and the Jeep graveyard about two hours north of here that I have mentioned a couple times would want to do the work and would charge me a grand or more for the part, labor, paint, an oil change, replace the tires, headlight mounting hardware..... I really think twice about going to places like that... I'm going to be on the lookout on eBay as well as other markets for this. I will post progress on this.

Questionable issue. That compression tool, ummm, where would I find something like that, how much pressure is actually on this plate and, ahem, mr sunder, do ya think I could fabricate it out of heavy bar stock, a threaded sleeve and a threaded rod and a nut? If there is a zillion pounds of pressure holding this little retaining ring on, I may just wait and invest in the right tool....

91 Jeep Wrangler YJ, carpet, tires, trailer hitch. yea....
